Authorities investigating death in Ft. Deposit

Police have roped off the home at 105 Bishop Street in Fort Deposit.
The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of an elderly black female.
Sheriff John Williams said a black female, 68 years-old, was found dead in her home today by her grandson at 105 Bishop St. inside the city limits of Fort Deposit.
He said the case is being investigated by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department, the Fort Deposit Police Department and the Alabama Bureau of Investigation Public Safety Division.
No further details were available at this time.
