Pioneer Electric Cooperative, Inc. named Tom Powell as Operations Supervisor for its Selma office.  As Operations Supervisor, Powell is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the cooperative’s district line crews, service crews, equipment, building facilities, and materials management.

Powell joined Pioneer back in 2000 as an Apprentice Lineman and prior to this promotion, he held the position of Engineering Technician.

In this expanded role, I am confident that his continued contributions will be a huge asset to Pioneer.  He’s well respected by his co-workers and this position puts him in a leadership role to help continue our mission of moving the cooperative forward.”

A Communications major, Powell will complete his Bachelor of Arts degree in Spring 2012 and has completed various training and safety programs throughout his career with the Alabama Rural Electric Association as well as, a current member of Pioneer Electric’s Team Member Development Program.
